"INFILA", THREADING MACHINE, URANIA, FLORENCE, SINCE THE 1950s

It is called IINFILA and it is a needle threader machine for large needles, for wool and for fine and very thin sewing needles: conceived in the 1950s by Mr. Martinelli, a former mechanic with a passion for inventions, INFILA represents a perfect design lesson: that is, to make people's lives easier.
The machine patented by Martinelli has the merit of making the act of threading the needle simple and immediate, thus improving the dexterity of a gesture as minimal as daily, that of threading the needle.
In 2015, the company was taken over by Giuseppe Bresci and with the name Urania - in homage to the muse of astronomy and geometry - it continues to produce in its factories in the province of Pistoia, exporting all over Europe and Japan.
The machine, in addition to the undoubted advantage of improving the life of visually impaired people and those who sew professionally, is certainly a small quality design object to be shown with joy.

INFILA, MACCHINA INFILA AGHI, URANIA, FIRENZE, DAGLI ANNI '50

Si chiama IINFILA ed è una macchinetta infila aghi per aghi grossi, da lana e per aghi fini e sottilissimi da cucito: ideata negli anni '50 dal signor Martinelli, ex meccanico con la passione per le invenzioni, INFILA rappresenta una perfetta lezione di design: ovvero, quella di rendere più semplice la vita delle persone.
La macchina brevettata da Martinelli ha il merito di rendere immediato il gesto di infilare l'ago, migliorando così la manualità di un gesto tanto minimo quanto quotidiano.
Nel 2015, l'azienda è stata rilevata da Giuseppe Bresci e con il nome Urania - in omaggio alla musa dell'astronomia e della geometria - continua a produrre nei suoi stabilimenti in provincia di Pistoia, esportando in Europa e Giappone.
La macchina, oltre all'indubbio pregio di migliorare la vita alle persone ipovedenti e a coloro che cuciono per professione, è senz'altro un piccolo oggetto di design di qualità da mostrare con gioia.

Ogni pezzo è prodotto interamente all'interno della fabbrica.
