CHIODINI, QUERCETTI, TURIN, SINCE 1953

The CHIODINI are a traditional Italian game, invented by Alessandro Quercetti in the 50s: it is a tablet to create new shapes and designs that Alessandro discovers in France. At the beginning, the board was made of cardboard, while the pins were made of wood. Alessandri decides to use plastic, making the game much more resistant. In this way the tablet can be used hundreds of times without running the risk of breaking or deforming.
For Italian children it is love at first sight and the CHIODINI become one of the best-selling games since the post-war period.
Recently, a group of neuroscientists at the University of Stockholm has established that the game is a great physical exercise for the hand, with beneficial repercussions on the brain that will improve its language skills

I CHIODINI sono un gioco tradizionale italiano, inventato da Alessandro Quercetti negli anni '50: si tratta di una tavoletta per realizzare forme e disegni sempre nuovi che Alessandro scopre in Francia. All'inizio, la tavoletta era prodotta in cartone, mentre i chiodini erano in legno. Alessandro decide di usare la plastica, rendendo il gioco molto più resistente. In questo modo la tavoletta può essere usata centinaia di volte senza correre il rischio di rompersi o deformarsi.
Per i bambini italiani è amore a prima vista e i CHIODINI diventano uno dei giochi più venduti dal dopoguerra a oggi.
Recentemente, un gruppo di neuroscienziati dell'Università di Stoccolma ha stabilito che il gioco dei chiodini è una formidabile ginnastica motoria per la mano, con benefiche ripercussioni sul cervello che sarà avvantaggiato nelle abilità linguistiche.
