HERRINGBONE TOWEL, LANIFICIO LEO, SINCE 1873

This wonderful cotton and linen towel is produced by Lanificio Leo in the oldest surviving mill of Calabria, a region in the South of Italy that was famous for the production of silk. Today the family company uses the most precious yarn and weaves it with the huge nineteenth century machinery. This way the “small mechanical anarchy” renders each fabric unique, creating precious artifacts, filled with the signs of history.

Questo canovaccio è prodotto nel più antico lanificio della Calabria, un territorio conosciuto in passato per la sua splendida produzione di seta. Oggi l'azienda punta su una produzione di altissima qualità, servendosi di materie prime di pregio e utilizzando il proprio parco macchine originale: l'errore meccanico trasforma ogni tessuto in un pezzo unico, dando vita a manufatti preziosi, attraversati dai segni del tempo.
